Gunning tips
Gunning is one of my fav puzzles even if it might be hard to keep the stats high. Its very easy to get back up again though
One of the keys to be a successful gunner is finding a "smooth" board - this means that you are able to let the balls run in a loop. This is why gunners jump off station a lot, they are trying to find a good board
In gunnery you have 4 pieces to work with.
In gunning the goal is to load the cannons as quickly as possible (the goal gunning for our dear flash is to stay alive <<).
The 4 pieces are sent out from a barrel in the middle and stops when there are 2 of every piece and every time u use a piece it will be replaced from the barrel. In a seabattle the barrel moves when the ship turns around (and us gunners just love it dont we? ><)
The pieces run in a straight line until they hit an object and that is why its recommended to get a smooth board or place the arrows so that the pieces will run straight in a loop.
The pieces must be loaded in correct order: powder, wad, shot. The fourth piece, the bucket, is used to clean out a gun after it has been fired, or if the wrong piece has been placed in a gun. This is accomplished by placing arrows to direct the flow of pieces.
You place the arrows by clicking and dragging with the mouse
Some use the keyboard (WASD)
As in every other puzzle - find your rythm and what works for you.
In gunning, the higher standing you get - the faster the pieces will move.
I recommend a lot of practice in the navy before you ask to be gunner on a pillage since the gunning will be a bit different. In the navy there is no shooting and you have all the time in the world to load them up. On a pillage speed is very important, you are the one making sure that the bnaver always have balls to fire
I will try to find a better link for gunning, but this will have to do for now.
(pardon my bad english ><)

Re: Gunning tips
If yer statboosting with the navy - try filling two guns then quitting =] it works!
Also, if you get really bored, ye can make an alt, take it gunning and if you make no mistakes, you can make GM in about 10 minutes. That works too... trust me on that one!!

Re: Gunning tips
Gunning... Not my favourite.
I can keep it respected/distinguished, but not any higher.
I can't seem to be able to use your tips, but thats just me. They are good Don't worry.
Who else gets tired of jobber after jobber whining about wanting to gun...
